    First thing on opening the box was the QR code was incorrect and for a different model. The parts felt very rough and had to be sanded. The parts in the iyoutube videos looked much better quality.
    Everything was well packed . I also had to shim up the LP. Rotors to eliminate a lot of free play. I am still building the at the moment

    It's a very nice kit and looks as advertised in the videos. If you look at the comments on Youtube, the most prominent of which regards the direction of rotation. There is a lot of discussion about stroboscopic effect in the video, but I assure you, it does indeed rotate in the incorrect direction. Simply putting the batteries in with reverse polarity will not correct the problem, because the contacts aren't made. The leads have to be unsoldered and reversed. Other than that, it's a pretty nice model.

    Unlike the Rolls Royce Trent 900 Turbofan jet engine model kit that looks magnificent, this model kit IS NOT a 'Turbofan' jet engine but it is known as a 'Turbojet' engine as it is a predecessor of the Turbofan engine that has a very large fan at the engine intake enclosed in a cowl and provides most of the thrust from the mass flow of the air passing around the outside engine core. A Turbojet ( also known a a pure jet ) DOES NOT have the large fan and surrounding cowl construction and generates it's thrust from expelling burnt gas from the engine exhaust and, in real life, is very noisy which is why it led to the development of the Turbofan engine.

    I recently purchased the WS-15 Turbofan Engine from my friends at actionfigurenow. The model came packed in a compact cardboard box and arrived in good order. On opening the box, you see two QR codes. One of them points to the assembly instructions and the other to a video of one of these being assembled. Looking at the Internet, you will discover another video by KOTA also assembling this model. NOTE: You need to watch the videos carefully many times to understand how the model goes together. There is no parts list for this model, which is a pity. As I started to assemble the model, I got stuck at step 1, because there was a duplicate of one part and another missing part.

    Very challenging, since some of the terminology that was in the instruction was not familiar to me because there was no inventory listing of the items like - "7634Z bearing", or "first clip the center" BUT that made it very interesting trying to figure out what the instructions meant. I give it a 5 but for the on-off switch.

    Enjoyed building this model. 2 issues to be aware of; some small parts were missing, but I was able to substitute other bits from the hardware store. Also, the assembly video skips some steps, so you have to do a little detective work. Other than those minor issues, it's a cool model.
