Yes the lubricating oil was missing, but I understand shipping such product can be a matter... no problem I bought my own lubricating oil.
Communications with the company was very good!! And now for my wish list. I wish they would make a carburetor and distributor with spark plug wires for the V8 as an option to buy. You guys are the best!!!
The experience was so good, I purchased three additional Teching models to assemble this winter!
But certainly a good way to get a better understanding how these engines work & a lot better than the cheap plastic kits.
I built the model by the instructions and switched it on and it ran perfectly.
I would highly recommend this model.

All the parts are precision-machined and finished - no sharp edges, etc.
Between the paper book and the posted videos, the instructions are excellent (though I did make an error and installed one sprocket backwards - in this case, it was easily remedied even after I had finished). It took 8-9 hours to complete the build and the model works very nicely. A mini/magnetic power screwdriver was helpful as there are hundreds of screws but it's not necessary and you'll want to manually hand-tighten anyway - the provided tools will do the job.
I shared my video with some family and friends and they were interested and impressed.
It's a bit pricey but IMO, good quality/value for the money.

All components required were in the kit, with some spare screws & drive belts.
There was no lubricating oil in the kit, which may have been deliberate. As a packaging engineer I realise how difficult it is to transport low viscosity oils without leakage, in an uncontrolled transit environment, where there will probably be pressure differentials. As such I just used sewing machine oil, which appeared to work fine.
Rien de compliqu dans le montage mme sans notice fran?aise, pour ma part j'ai modifi quelques
dtails, feutrine sur les soupapes pour voir mieux l'ouverture, cot filtre bloc moteur agrandi une
ouverture pour voir rellement la bielle en mouvement.
J'ai aussi trouv bon de crer l'allumage, delco et fils de bougies, en dsignant les cylindres droits,
1-3-5-7 l'ordre d'allumage est sur votre moteur, 1-4-5-2-7-6-3-8 si je ne me trompe pas.
Voil pour mes commentaires, trs beau moteur une fois fini et, j'espre un jour le 6 cylindres
en ligne.

had to cut opening on left side of battery cover turn battery 180 degrees around so the cords would be long enough.
Added 1 1/2 inches to the cord from control box to electric motor.
Overall it is a great kit, do plan to buy more kits in the fall.
Très satisfait du moteur V8 reçue, de même qualité du 4 cylindres déjà fait.
Pas terminé le montage car je fais également le montage d'une locomotive
241 P 16 d'Altaya, pistons montés dans cylindre et culasses terminées.
Petite modification pour l'ouverture des soupapes peu visible j'ai ajouté
de la feutrine pour une ouverture plus réelle.
