    Constructed the kit during two evening hours at a relaxed pace and enjoyed every minute of it. I thank you for mentioning and providing the tool to polish each brass piece. Every piece fit great and the option to have wood or color wings was a plus. As a retired engineer who designed tools for jet engines this kit was a brief remembrance of times past. I hope in the future you might design more complicated kits that is reasonably priced.

    The large main gear of the mechanical butterfly does not work. The setscrew does not pass all the way through to hold the gear on the shaft. Otherwise, all the pieces look and feel well made. I cannot complete this very expensive model. I’m feeling optimistic about the customer service. I did just receive a replacement butterfly wing from another build. Lots of tiny parts to pull together so things probably get missed often. The customer service is pretty okay but I wish they’d let you know when that part has shipped. I’m looking forward to upgrading my review.
