This MG 1/100 F91 Gundam F91 (Ver 2.0) is a refined version of the beloved Gundam F91 mobile suit from the animated movie Gundam F91. It is part of the GunPla Evolution Project, which aims to bring new life to classic Gunpla kits with improved articulation, gimmicks, and details.
- Improved Design: Careful research was conducted to recreate the physical appearance of the F91 Gundam F91 with enhanced accuracy and detail, making it a more faithful representation of the anime counterpart.
- Action Gimmicks: The kit features a variety of action gimmicks, including an LED housing in the chest backpack assembly, which, when used with a white LED (sold separately), mimics the Metal Peel-off Effect (MPE) as seen in the anime. The F91’s face can also be opened to the sides or displayed as a solid piece, while the shoulder fins and leg thrusters have a deployment mechanism for various angle adjustments.

Be careful cutting out the V-fins. You get 2, but I accidentally broke the tip of one of them while cutting it out.
The lighting unit is sold separately but not required.
The first was the V-fin which the tip snapped off while I was removing a bit of gate but that might have been my fault for not taking the time to sand it. The second was one of the shoulder fins which fractured after I painted it (with a white Gundam marker), I've heard that paint can weaken plastic so that could be what happened. The third were all of the orange pieces on the ankles, they broke along the side, but I think it's because the peg they fit over is too big, so I lightly shaved off the top and bottom of it with a hobby blade. It could have also been the panel liner I used (Tamiya brown) but I'm not sure. The final piece that broke was the hand, where the wrist ball joint was so tight that not only did the hand shatter but the socket in the arm was cracked. I sanded the ball with 1000 grit sheet sponge so it would fit better, just be careful not to overdo it.
I'm not trying to say the figure is bad, I'm just sharing my experiences with it, and as said before, I was able to fix all of the parts.
