    This was my 2nd master grade, 5th actionfigurenow overall, and boyyyyyy was this one tricky. There are a few pieces; like the shoulders, waist covers, and midriff that ended up the tiniest bit loose but now that it's all said and done I'm very impressed. As expected there's a great deal of articulation, especially in the hands. There's some really great colour separation that makes the unit shine with or without the stickers, and the majority of the build is very sturdy and posable, which makes up for some of the limitations. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks actionfigurenow!!

    This was the first kit I built since last summer; I picked it out for two reasons: 1.) we're currently in a quarantine and I needed something to pass the time something fierce. and 2.) I wanted to get a MG and face my fear of building more complex kits.

    Boy howdy, did this work for both of those! I love this kit, and it only makes me want to build more MGs; I've got another on the way!

    I know I'm going against the grain here because I want to give this kit a 3/5 star. The reason I didn't was because it isn't the kit's kit's fault. I knew this was a larger version of the RG gundam, which I did not like. The detail is amazing but building it was tedious. I should've gotten the 2.0 but I'm hardheaded. I'd say my biggest disappointment is that the kit comes with stickers over water slides considering the amount of detail. This kit won't get touched again by me because I don't want to have to sort every panel that moves. Again, everything is amazing with this, but too many moving pieces for me to get the right pose.

    This was my very first model ever and I enjoyed it. It took me a little over 10 hours total to complete without decals (waiting for waterslides to be in stock). My only 2 gripes with it is that it is super fragile due to all the moving parts; it's actually really hard to pose also (at least mine is). Overall though, I think this is a great kit to start with if you have the required patience. I can't wait to start my next model.

    Without any painting you can get a excellent effect. But is too details, the playing experience is not so good.

    Great looking kit! Nice details seen in the RG version. Build experience was good but definitely not a simple build. Still has polycaps in shoulders, legs and feet so you may need re-tightening over time. RG-style stickers are okay, looks nice but water slides would probably be better as some stickers cover panel lines which look weird if you already did panel lines. Posability is great but some parts are quite delicate when moving so be careful. Would be nice if they made a 3.5 to remove polycaps.

    So first of all...the kit is beautiful. Once assembled and put on display this really is one of the most detailed MGs around. The fully articulating hands aren't my preference but they're a nice premium feature which I think should be counted as a plus. Tons of stickers and panel lining opportunities really make it shine on a shelf in terms of aesthetics. Though, like I said, that's once on display. Some negatives of the build include some pretty flimsy panels for the arms and a frustrating balancing act when assembling the elbow joint, making for moments of unnecessary worry and complication. Extremely loose rear skirt joints will probably cause some frustration for most, as will the shallow panel lines that are prone to smudging and erasure if not handled with meticulous care. The finished product is also noticeably lightweight and rattles quite which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence when posing.

    Overall, I'd say the looks are a 5/5 while the build is often questionable. However, the sheer level of detail and beauty in this kit does enough to set it apart from the rest of the MG line (especially within the price range). Because of that, I think this is well-deserving of the 4 star rating.

    MG 3.0 Gramps is an incredibly complex build one could even argue maybe even overly complex. The finished product ends up looking fantastic but theres so many parts and odd little moving pieces that feel satisfying once done that can be overwhelming to someone just hoping for a slightly quicker build. It can be a bit of a hand grenade because of the SHEER AMOUNT OF PARTS. But it looks fantastic and loose parts can always be glued.

    Only issue I ran into was some odd gaps with the core fighter assembly inside the waist and chest. Things clicked into place, but didn't line up quite perfectly.
