Product Description

This modern rendition of the Nu Gundam is a visionary creation of esteemed mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, initially showcased at the Gundam Front Tokyo exhibit’s G-Dome. This Ver. Ka model integrates innovative new technology that surpasses the original MG Nu Gundam release. It incorporates features like foldable tabs on weapons for enhanced gripping and an LED-powered light-up eye system (LED sold separately). The hands on this model feature a refined articulated finger system, similar to those found on the larger Perfect Grade series, allowing for expressive hand and individual finger movements.

The 2012 release date had me a little concerned, but this kit can hold its own against anything I've built so far. I would put it in the same class as the Master Grade Sazabi; just a great kit with fine details on the armor and a well-designed inner frame. I've been working on it for ten days maybe, so it's far from a finished project, but with the inner frame built up and painted and the legs armored and detailed a bit I'm quite happy with this kit. Compared to last year's RG version the one thing that's missing on this 2012 release is the armor separation on the lower shin area of the legs, not much for a complaint.

The only reason I gave 4 over 5 is just specifically what happened to me. The transformation on the arms is honestly a little ridiculous. I couldn't get it to work and even googled it because of how much 'wedging' I was trying( Nervous even doing it).
I even broke the same piece the guy in the video mentioned to be careful and even had broke himself. Trust me I was being very cautious, but you have to push it upward in order to reveal the green for the transformation.(Some cement fixed it.)
Again, this was just my experience.

Had some small issues here and there having to remove parts and placing them back to where they are supposed to be, and a lot of the small parts unique to the ver. Ka kit were difficult to slot in. Funnels are also a little loose. However, the challenge is great!

So I am a crazy person who is collecting all the ver ka kits, and this is easily top 5. But, there are some things that hold it back from being #1. the funnels need some tricks to hold onto the kit, the psycho frame is super fragile and getting those stickers onto it is a pain in the ***. more of an issue over time, but mine is becoming floppier in its old age, though I expect that to be fixed when i paint it soon. over all, 8.5/10 too much water

The swivel mount for the shoulders was a really thin and flexible piece attached to a larger, stiffer joint and I was afraid of it breaking, decided to glue it in place. Less articulation but more stability. I'll probably do the same to the fin funnels but otherwise it's a solid kit

This kit is the very first MG ver ka kit I've ever build. I thought it would be interesting to one a ver ka kit, and I have to ask myself and my friends for any recommendations of a Ver ka kit. Nu was so far the only option at the moment, so why not. The build is quite straightforward (although it took me roughly 2 days to build) the option to have LED is nice, but not included with this kit. This has a full hand articulation which is great, the height of the kit feels right and satisfying, the use of the foil stickers are actually nice for majority of them are inside the gundam which makes the gimmick interesting. This does come with water slide decals which are heavily needed, an action base designed for the Nu Gundam. But this kit does have some flaws; the upper knee hinge is a little loose already after a few days from building it, the overall articulation could've been better, but still pretty good, the fin funnels are the weakest part of the kit, but they're manageable. There are color correcting stickers that wants to give different tone colors of the mobile suit. Some tiny pieces can fall off. And would it be unfair to compare this kit to the RG counterpart?
