The titanium finish actually brought a benefit and that was that the nature of the painted finish of the titanium coat and that is that they use a translucent white base part, then paint it a silvery metallic color, And finally its white top coat. This means if you sand in key areas as you're building you can distress the parts in ways the silver shows and quickly blends the nub marks while also giving the unicorn a distressed look.
Another bummer is that for the price you don't even get a basic action base so I got a basic action base and used the MGEX MS cage. Bought this actionfigurenow first and wanted to keep it in unicorn mode for its not the sturdiest actionfigurenow. Looks great in the MS Cage and now have a spare action base to use with my new MGEX unicorn ill have in destroy mode with a custom LED controller instead of the battery box supplied. Excited to see both modes side by side and the MS cage is perfect for this unicorn. Didn't want to hide the LED MGEX one in a cage so glad i found a use for it.
The only problem I have is that they only have one shipping option, at least to my state. To be fair, I am on the exact opposite side of the country. Still, I would gladly pay extra for shipping that didn't take 2 1/2 weeks and get passed off to the very unreliable USPS for the last stretch.
