This was my first perfect grade and the first kit I've built with screws, but my only complaints are the amount of screws and polycaps but the screws definitely make it a solid kit in terms of durability so it works out

This has been something I've waited a while to get my hands on, honestly if when it off as of late thanks to scalpers and blatant price gouging, but here I am. Can't comment on the quality of the actual kit as I haven't got around to building it yet (and probably won't for a while), but I would like to give credit to usa Gundam for processing and shipping it so quickly. It arrived in just a few days in absolutely perfect condition. Third kit of gotten from them and the shipping is just excellent every time. The price is probably the most competitive I've seen online and especially these days I appreciate them not price gouging people like allot of competitors are. I know how much this kit is worth and this was priced exactly as it should be and that meant I immediately bought it once I got the notification stocks. they had them in stock again.

My only real comments on the kit itself for other buyers is that this is an older kit. Go in knowing this. If you're thinking about buying it and you don't have any experience with older kits research it. I'm not saying it's trash or I expect anything to be seriously wrong with it, but simply that the aesthetic qualities won't be as high and some articulation will be a little limited compared to the more modern perfect grades of today. Without some extra work it will appear very plain and possibly underwhelming if you aren't expecting this. If you've built or seen the original rx-78, Zaku, gp01, and Zeta prefect grades assembled straight out of box you'll understand. That said, this has one of the most impressive internal frames of the older kits by far and that's a major draw for me. I'm certain you could build this relatively quickly and do a minimal amount of extra work and it'd look absolutely amazing, but I think you'd be robbing yourself of allot of the experience. That said, this is something I'm going to take my time with obviously. I know it's not a short build, the hefty bags of screws and 800 parts kinds give that away. There is one objectively bad problem with the kit itself, sticker decals. I suggest you buy some replacement water slides regardless of what you intend to do.

If none of that bothers you then you should definitely check it out. It's expensive, so do your research, but if weathering, painting, adding custom decals, and good old fashion hand painted detailing is something that appeals to you, I think this is definitely a kit that'll interest you.

The build process was slow and lots of small screw ups along the way. The outer frame is large chunks with little surface detail and panel lines to fill in. Definitely was amazing at its time of release, but since it uses very specific batteries for the light feature with a somewhat unstable connection and the inclusion of only stickers it now it is outshined by other Perfect Grade kits coming out now.

Shipping was quick, the actual packing of the box was fine, but the box was damaged. It was easy to tell that when the box was pulled from the Bandai shipping container, it was ripped. Then one of the retaining straps that holds the box shut was shifted over to cover the tear made. While it's only cosmetic damage to the box, it's still something that better handling would've prevented.

Given it's age one could argue whether this should be someone's first PG kit. On the one hand, the older tech makes it more simple to assemble, but on the other hand, the older tech means it might require more attention to detail. Overall, it boils down to the person, but you can't go wrong with this one either way.
