The end result was better than expected if there's one complaint i have is that the effect set is very loose on the funnels but is not the end of the world 5/5 would recommend

    A highly detailed yet easy build, with great posability without sacrificing looks. Honestly, the title says it all. A great counterpart to 2018's RG Sazabi. The fin funnel effects could only be more complete with the inclusion of a firing effect, which Bandai does not, to my knowledge, currently offer (but 3rd party is already working on that).

    I can only hope that future RGs aim for this level of beauty and functionality.

    It was a really solid build, it has great articulation and great accessories. The included action base 4 is great considering the website tends to be out of stock with them. The effect parts tend to have a loose connection to the funnels, but you can lightly put some superglue on that to thicken it up. Also the action base 4 included in here comes with everything the original did, so you won't be missing out on any accessories! Overall I rate this set a 15/10.

    Not much difference from the original kit but the beam effects really do add an awesome layer of detail.
    As always with Action bases, and especially with the clear parts, the smaller pieces are brittle and don't fit well. Either its too tight and Minot adjustments crack the female sections or two loose and they sag immediately.
    Honestly, I would still with the regular or extra funnels and look for a different separate base.
    All in all, the kit is 5 huge stars but overall only 4 because of the action base's quality.

    I have to say that I am a bit biased about this kit for a few reasons, the main reasons being that the Nu Gundam is one of my top 10 favorite mobile suits and that this kit was an absolute joy to build. You can tell that they took all of the positive design aspects from all of the RG's that came before when designing this kit. The articulation is fantastic, ALL, and I mean ALL of the details on the kit are top notch. If you like painting or panel lining, you will love this kit. The plastic is relatively soft and a breeze to cut and the placement of the nubmarks and the undergating on certain parts made this a breeze to build with very minimal clean up. In addition, the inclusion of the effect parts at this price point makes purchasing this kit a no-brainer. The effect parts, while used for the Nu Gundam, can be used (with a bit of creativity) with your other existing kits. There are two adapters that you can attach to the end of the effect parts, and "caps" that can be attached to the end of them, so the effect parts can be used for things like a beam shot. All in all, If you are on the fence about buying this kit, you should get off of it and but it!

    I will say this though, there are a lot of pieces to put together and depending on the amount of details that you want to accentuate on this kit, it could take you a while to put it together and display it. That said, I think this kit is perfect for the high-level beginner all the way to expert builder who is looking to build something awesome.

    This build was like winning the lottery while simultaneously getting high fives from all your best friends. Everything about it is perfect. Color separation, articulation, build, details; all perfect! This took the best Gundam kit in my opinion(Sazabi RG) and blew it out of the water! It's a perfect 7/7, better than the Dark Knight. Just buy it. You'll not regret it!

    Haven't started putting this together yet but I was super surprised on it's arrival. Wasn't expecting it to come in such a big box or have so many pieces like that. Kind of figured that it would all be separate pieces inside the box or other boxes inside it. I was actually super happy it wasn't. It is setup all together as one cohesive build not at all like buying the stuff separately. Can't wait to put it all together and see the final product. Also A for your super quick shipping it arrived like two days after I ordered.

    This is probably the best RG out there. It looks nice, has great articulation, and is very sturdy other than the shield's attachment point. This expansion set is also nice since it includes an action base and effect parts. My only other problem is that the neck looks a bit long, but you won't really notice it in most poses. You can only attach the unique beam saber in one hand, so that kind of sucks.
