    Very well made , would be awesome if it was water cooled, but the fan really keeps it cooled, runs very well, starts in one hit on button, can't wait to see if there will be opportunities to upgrade it, wasn't hard to put together, instruction book was well illustrated, I'm looking at setting up a youth program to teach young teens in skills to build and understand small engines, to maybe rc builds.

    Got it as a gift, he was very pleased. Bigger than he thought but only took a few hours to put together. Stand and exhaust/fuel come separately.

    Bought this for my grandsons birthday. Hoping to peak his interest in models/automobiles. At his age I couldn't get enough of assembling models air plans, battles ships and every make and model of cars. It's how I became a gear head. I have worked on cars and trucks all my life.
    When I was a kid they had plastic models of engines. I remember starting with my first V8 engine that was not so detailed to a 1/4 scale that had every major part and it had a simple DC motor to make it spin.
    I am very surprised that the craftsmanship of this engine. It's of the highest quality. It is a bit small, would have been nice if it was 2X or bigger. GREAT PRODUCT!

    Shaft seals much upgraded from the single cylinder Toyan engine.
    Can’t wait to put it in a crawler!

    I thought that the machining was top notch and the engine has an excellent design! And if I where to make any improvement although none was needed, I would add a center main bearing to the crankshaft to guard against a broken crankshaft, and make it possible to adjust the valves perhaps with shims under the valve caps outer then that this engine is a1 in my book. The plastic box with the small parts need a piece of foam under the lid.

    Nice building kit of a 7 cc 2 cilinder engine. The kit is very complete, and easy to build. Only one minor detail : the box with small parts and screws is not transport proof. There is space between lit and box that alows the parts to move and mingle. It becomes a puzzle. The engine is OK after the puzzle is sorted out. Nice engineering.

    I spent a day to put all the parts together and nothing was missing, no left overs! Nice machining. I used the conversion for gasoline and in the beginning it didn't start. I found out that the hall sensor works only one-way up, so, after turning it around, the motor started and runs very well. I suppose it has to run in, because taking over from stationary to full speed doesn't work so well. I fiddled with the mixture screw, but that did (up to now) not help much. Also it became very hot. After longer run in, i think, it will turn much better! But, all in all, nice motor, well made!

    I received this little engine a coupple of months ago. delivered fairly fast with DHL.
    I spend a coupple of evenings putting the parts together as described in the manual (online) and the thing would not start no matter what i did. It turned out one glowplug was defective and a little complaint was filed to Engine Diy. one week later a new glowplug (os brand) turned up in my mail box at no cost. this i super service!
    after running the engine wich startet rigt up after the new plug was installed, I broke a starting belt ... simply by running the starter for a wery long period due to the glow plug failure and a lack of attention to the "preload" of the startingbelt. I ordered a new one and wrote afterwards to DIY that they were welcome to send one for free due to the glowplug that lead to the startingbelt issue. a coupple of hours later i recieved a message from DIY: Dear Sir, we will send you two new belts! This is unbelievable god service and I am not sure that I would get such a service even from my local Hobbyshop. I am wery pleased with the service and the shipping time. The engine is nice and priced fair or maybe even cheap to be honest. I would like to se an engine in almost same size that woud deliver aprx. 1,2hp. and with watercooling ... if it was a 300usd. engine it would be ok with me as long as it could deliver more power and run cool (watercooling). Conclusion: super service, cheap, nicely build product, fast delivery ... whats not to like.

    j' ai bien reçu le colis de ce moteur en parfait état dans une belle boite, le kit de ce moteur est très bien fait avec de belles pièces de mécanique qui sont très bien réalisées le tout bien rangé, le tout est très soigné, je suis désolé mais je n'ai pas encore monté ce kit mai c'est sans tarder, il est facile de le monter pour un débutant car la notice à téléchargée est elle très bien expliqué pas de soucis de ce coté la, il faut la suivre c' est tout, bon montage à vous je vous le recommande sans problème, je tenais à faire une remarque cette société est très sérieuse, et d'une grande gentilesse , et aussi sympathique, je commande chez eux et en suis très heureux de les connaitre ,cordialement Francis .

    The Otto-Sempto engine I tested, it is as always with Toyan engines, Toyan can make very precise CNC parts but the concept for engine development should be reconsidered.
    The engines all have a shortcoming, they leak, the carburetors cannot be adjusted precisely and they get too warm.
    There is considerable potential for improvement here.
    The conversion kit is not needed to run the engine as a gasoline engine.
    Two solenoids and the Cison double CDI are sufficient.

    This is a very well-made kit and fun to assemble but they sent the wrong starter drive belt. It was WAY too small and there is no way this can fit the installation. I contacted them (two weeks ago) and they said that a new correct belt would be sent. Nothing yet. If I get the correct belt I plan to update this review to a 5-star rating as I'm very impressed with the quality. The rating of the tech support is on hold until I get the right part.

    I bought this engine for my 11 year old son’s Christmas present for us to assemble together & his words: “the best present I’ve ever got” sums it up perfectly! The build quality of this little engine’s unbelievable & the assembly was very straight forward with easy to follow instructions found on the actionfigurenow.com website.
    I highly recommend this engine & the customer service I received when asking questions prior to purchasing this engine was fantastic!

    To begin with, I'm really impressed with the quality of the parts for this engine. I enjoyed putting it together as I learnt more about engine basics. Very satisfying experience. I would say instructions needs bit more clarity but there are few YouTube videos to help. I also got the starter pack with it, had problems with glow plugs but was sent a new set. Worth the price and it's quite fun. Note to add high temperture grease to the camshaft
