    This product arrived a day or two after I went on vacation. I opened up the box and everything looked like it there there except the thumb drive, but there were instructions for assembly on a QR code. I wish there was a manual that you could just download to your computer. So far I'm just detailing the engine to match my builds color scheme so I don't know how the parts will fit. I also wish they would have included a small screwdriver for assembly. I bought a set and so far the Phillips screw driver size is a 000.

    The honest truth is when you put it together some parts don’t align correctly pulleys aren’t strong enough to truly turn. It’s cool to put together but it doesn’t work with 100% movement. I didn’t get the purple thread lock. Also I bought the 50$ surprise and it came without a manual. Sighhh… I would honestly like to get some sorta discount on a better item or something with atleast smoother moving parts. Need a manual for the box picture underneath.

    I gave this to my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. It is pretty complicated so I would recommend for a little older age group. There are lots of add-on options for customization like painting, etc. Very nice presentation when the box is opened and it is very organized.

    My 11 year old was so excited to open this set! He is about halfway through it and is enjoying every minute of it! I highly recommend this set for anyone with a child who loves to build. Instructions are easy to follow. We love hands on learning and this is a great project for my son!

    We bought this for my 12 year old son to work on this summer and he really enjoyed putting it together. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easily constructed in a few days. He didn't need any adult help to complete the project. Afterward, the engine actually worked to show him the different parts. This toy is perfect for kids that like to build stuff!

    My 12 and 10 year old were very excited when they received this toy. The directions were wonderful. They had step by step pictures similar to legos instructions. This toy has lots of tiny pieces so you want to make sure you designate a space you will work on the engine till it is complete. There are two screw sizes but the difference is so little that you have to look closely to make sure you have the correct screws. My boys didn't realize there were different sizes and couldn't figure why they weren't fitting correctly. I would recommend anyone with a child under 14, to supervise because there are a lot of steps and many pieces to put together. Less room for error with adult supervision. It took my boys around 6 hours to complete but we had some mishaps. Using the wrong screws and putting on pieces backwards, which is why I highly recommend adult supervision. Once we were done the engine looked and sounded really great. Will post pictures soon.

    Im a homeschooling mama of 5, and This seemed like a cool product for a shop project when the kids didnt want to work in the real shop since its still so hot out. I had my older 2 boys start to put it together. They are 14 and 16 and love to work with real tools in a real shop. They thought it looked nerdy, but I thought it would be a great way for them to learn the inner workings of an engine. Besides the fact that its not a combustion engine(obviously, cause its plastic!) it seems to operate like a real engine.

    I received today the ordered V8 Engine Model Kit that Works - Build Your Own V8 Engine - V8 Engine for Capra VS4-10 × 1. Since it is a gift for my grandson it would be imperative to have a blueprint for assembly. Where can I get a detailed plan for this object, or a CD with appropriate instructions. I do not think it is okay to send the kit for children without any instructions. Not everyone at the age of 12 is savvy enough to be able to assemble without instructions. Even an adult is not always in a position to provide assistance in this regard - so before something is done irreparably wrong, there should be a plan to guide you.
