It is a little top heavy but you can use the umbilical cable for support. The hips are a new design and will take some getting used to. The legs kind of just float inside of the hips making standing challenging. In my opinion I find that kneeling poses are the best for this kit. Cant wait for the next release!
It has amazing articulation,great accessories(even without the DX set), an extremly light yet solid build, and it looks phenomenal,especially next to other Evangelion figures.
The only downside i could think of is the loose arm swivel but even with that flaw, i could look past it and say that this certainly is the best,most affordable,Evangelion unit one model kit yet.
Kit arrived safely all the way down to Mexico. I cant wait to get to build it!
I would give the stickers 3 1/2 stars though.
The only minor complaint is about the stickers. There are a crazy amount of them, and most of them are incredibly tiny and very hard to place correctly on the model. Some of the larger clear stickers don't look as nice when applied, and don't look very clear when you apply them. I put on about a third of them (pretty much all of the larger ones) before giving up putting on stickers. Thankfully, if you don't want to put them on (or in my case put on only the most prominent ones), it still looks amazing.
I would give it a good 4.5 stars if I could. I really hope to buy the Unit-00 and Unit-02 models in the near future when I have the time and money.
First off, the EVA is huge! If you are a fan of Evangelion or Rebuild, I would strongly recommend this model!! It looks fantastic, articulates well for posing, and OMG it comes with so many different hands!
As someone that knows nothing about Gundam, the owners were very helpful and answered all my questions. The package came in quickly and in very good condition, they added some stickers with the order which was nice. Overall 10/10.
This is not a review of the Evangelion Unit-01 figure I purchased as I have not yet opened the box. But its a beautiful box and I do love staring at it. I will get around to erecting it eventually.
The feedback I wanted to give was regarding the care package i.e. the folder with the cute robot, the flyer welcoming me to the family signed by the packer of my order and the packing list.
I have been a life-long fan of models, figurines and anime in general and have never had the means to purchase items like this one. I was happy to finally be able to do so and I thought the personalized message welcoming me to the family was such a nice touch.
I am glad to be part of the family and I will be ordering more from your company. Just saw the new Iron Man model come out and that looks pretty awesome.
