This is a Manson Engine. Not to be confused with a Stirling Engine. A Manson engine has only 3-4 moving parts and can rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise unlike a Stirling engine. Manson engines are open-cycle systems that exchange the cold air from the atmosphere to the hot displacer tube, whereas a Stirling is a sealed closed-cycle system.
