    It's hard for me to say what my favorite version of the RX is right now cause the beyond global isn't here yet, but this kit was fun to build I have the MG version but i like the variety that the HG gives you more you can either build the early or Middle but I decided to do both. This kit is definitely worth the price point with some super good articulation I highly recommend it to beginners or pros.

    At first I completely underestimated this build. It was tedious at times, understandably so because this was the first RG kit of the series. The engineering in this kit for the 1/144 scale is amazing. They managed to pack a lot of detail into such a small palm-sized build. I had to tighten up some pieces with glue but do not let that deter you from getting this kit. Ironically, what impressed me the most was the tiny core fighter. It transforms smoothly into the core block for something very small. I also suggest getting the water slide decals instead of using the included stickers. They were a little bit of a pain to align. In the end the results are worth it. I cannot stop staring at all the details Bandai engineered into it. This RG has convinced me to get the upscaled MG 3.0 version.

    For a old first RG kit it fairs well on poseability, but definitely needs an update. The issues I have is the fingers on its hands eventually keep falling off to it barely holding on its beam saber. Never the less the build was fun as well as applying the decals on it.

    I'll start by saying that this kit is excellent, I had a ton of fun building and detailing it. It looks fantastic and has incredible mobility thanks to the double bend joints in the knees and elbows. The accessories are very nice too, with the beam rifle being my favorite with all the color separation on it. sadly i feel that the beam sabers are a bit too long for the 1/144 scale. the decals on this kit all seam to fit the places they are meant to be placed, though the little gold strips on the inside of the elbows were too difficult for me to get positioned where they would not be pulled off by the joint moving so i just used a gundam paint pen to paint them gold. A few points of warning for when you build it would be to be careful with the u bracket ankle joint pieces, as they would be easy to bend during almost any point of construction and posing if you aren't aware. Secondly would be that when you are separating the shield handle and connection joint from the arm inner frame piece shoulders, you don't have a lot of purchase to hold on to safely to pull them free. Go slowly, try to rotate the post to loosen it up and wiggle it free. Finally, placing the decal for the eyes is a bit frustrating as the piece you put it on has raised parts for the eyes that keeps it from really laying flat on the part. those raised parts would make it possible to paint however. Luckily even if you the decal seems a little loose when you put the rest of the head together it gets locked inside pretty tight. just focus on getting it centered properly. If you can manage that then you will love the final product!

    i should begin by stating that this build was one that I enjoyed going through, which included building, apply the stickers, and posing it, but this is also a kit that requires a healthy amount of TLC in order for it be stable. Pro-tip, just super glue whatever parts remain stationary after the build. Otherwise you'll be dealing with so many parts and bits falling off this kit if you just do a straight build. Although, unlike later real grade kits that follow the old style of pre-build inner frame, I'll give this one a pass since this was the first kit of this line.

    The shipping was totally fine, as USA Gundam always does.

    This kit is VERY fragile, and I even broke the right leg inner frame part (totally my fault for mishandling) so I bought a replacement part for it. And my copy's hip skirt armor falls off, and so does the back armor on the upper arm does after using the moving gimmick. Also, the weapons don't fit too well for the RX-78 to hold on my copy.

    This kit is definitely dated for being the first ever RG. I don't blame it, but it is the first of its kind. I love RG so I had to build the first ever RG to compare. Bandai has stupendously made RG the new exciting kits to be realeased.

    As of me typing this, the RG God Gundam has released and it has to be the best version of God Gundam to be created. So, it is amazing to see the growth and improvement to RG basically being the 1/144 scale Master Grades now.

    All in all, wonder looking kit with awesome part separation but falls apart (at least on my copy.) M y RG Rx78 is definitely staying where it is and is not going to be posed for a while.

    It was a pretty fun build. It wasn't a floppy mess like other master grades. Only complaint the fingers pop off too easily and can get annoying.

    Absolutely love these RG kits and the range of UC selections. actionfigurenow never disappoints. Prompt processing and delivery, plus a consistent stock to choose from.

    Even though I tend to prefer Zeon kits, RX-78 RG is dope and well worth the roughly $30 price point. Pay a smidge more than HG price but get a significantly better kit.

    Such a detailed kit for the size of it. Articulation is great too. I've been disappointed by a few of the different MG RX-78-2 kits as they always end up looking a bit bland but this lil guy impressed me. Especially for the price. Picked him up for the express purpose of finally setting up the Zeong Last Shooting effect that I've had on the back burner for the past 2 years and it did not disappoint!
